Barnet welcome Harrogate Town to The Hive London tomorrow night as they aim to clinch their first league win since the start of the month.

They go into the match off the back of a goalless draw at home to Hartlepool United on Saturday.

Last Meeting:

The last time these two sides met was back in August, Harrogate winning 2-0 on that occasion thanks to goals from Jack Emmett and Liam Kitching.

Manager: Simon Weaver

Appointed manager in 2009, Simon Weaver is the second longest-serving boss in the National League behind Paul Doswell of Sutton United.

The former defender began his career at Sheffield Wednesday before going on to play for the likes of Lincoln City, Kidderminster Harriers and Tamworth amongst many others.

Weaver endured a rocky start to life at Harrogate when he was appointed player-manager ten years ago as his first season in charge saw Town finish bottom of the Conference North. However, after Northwich Victoria faced expulsion from the division due to financial issues, it saved Harrogate from relegation. His player-manager tag was dropped in 2012 when he hung up his boots to claim a permanent position in the Town dug-out.

Weaver then went on to help guide Harrogate to their best ever FA Cup finish during the 2012-13 season after bowing out at the second round stage. However, his biggest achievement at the club came earlier this year when his Town side clinched promotion to the National League.

This campaign will be a very special one for Weaver no matter what the outcome is due to the fact it will be his tenth season in charge of the club.

One to Watch: Mark Beck

Forward Mark Beck will be going into tomorrow’s game in high spirits having netted three times in his last two games. After bagging a brace against Braintree just over a week ago, he then scored the only goal of the game in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Maidenhead.

With 10 goals to his name this season, Beck will undoubtedly be looking to maintain his recent scoring habit tomorrow and extend his tally.

Recent League Form:

Harrogate, who sit sixth, are unbeaten in their last five league games and will go into tomorrow’s game in high spirts having won their last three.

Town clinched a 1-0 win away at Chesterfield last month before having to settle for a 1-1 draw in their next fixture at home to Dagenham & Redbridge. They returned to winning ways three days later though after beating Bromley 1-0 before thrashing Braintree 4-0 away from home. They secured their third win on the bounce at the weekend, beating Maidenhead United 1-0 at Wetherby Road.

Harrogate have also won half of their 18 games on the road this season and are the league’s top scorers having bagged 69 whilst conceding 45.
