Austrian born, the defender has represented Croatia at youth level. He started his career in the youth setup at Admira Wacker but moved to German side Schalke 04 in the summer of 2016.
He would join Bristol City in Janaury last year before heading out to Cheltenham Town until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has made 82 competitive appearances during his short career.
