First-team physiotherapist Luigi Cerullo has provided an update from the treatment room at The Hive London and there is good news all round with James Pearson headlining a positive update.
James Pearson (knee)
“James is doing extremely well and the good news is he is now only a couple of weeks away from returning to training. He is doing a lot of work with strength and conditioning coach Kostas Lofitis and has done really well in his recovery.”
Bira Dembele (calf)
“Bira picked up a minor calf injury in the game at Luton Town in New Year’s Eve which forced him to miss the win against Plymouth Argyle. Hopefully we will know more in a couple of days about when we can expect him to return.”
Tom Champion (hamstring)
“After his unfortunate hamstring injury suffered in the fine win at Yeovil Town last month Tom is very close to a return. He should be back in training by the end of the week.”
Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (sickness)
“Jean-Louis had a stomach bug on Saturday which ruled him out of the Plymouth game. However, the good news is he should be back in training for the weekend.”
Michael Gash (knee), Shaun Batt (hamstring), Ben Tomlinson (quad)
“Michael, Shaun and Ben are all working hard on their strength in the gym and are progressing as expected from long-term injuries. They are where they should be in their recovery.”
