A dramatic late goal from Robbie Weir on his 29th birthday gave Chesterfield a 2-1 Sky Bet League Two win over Barnet.
Barnet struck first when Akinde got in between two defenders and beat Cameron Dawson, who was making his Chesterfield debut, with a low shot from 12 yards.
Jak McCourt had a 25-yard shot beaten out in the 15th minute and Joe Rowley should have equalised in the 23rd minute but fired over from eight yards.
Chesterfield lost Andy Kellett in the 31st minute and his replacement Matt Briggs saw a close-range shot blocked in the 40th minute as Barnet defended strongly.
Another crucial block kept out a McCourt volley in the 64th minute but the equaliser came in the 66th minute when Clough sliced a cross into his own net.
Shaquile Coulthirst blazed over for Barnet in the 72nd minute and Chesterfield won it in stoppage-time when Ian Evatt played in Weir who coolly found the bottom corner from 15 yards.
