Sky Bet League Two
The Hive
Saturday 30th April 2016
Kick Off: 15:00
Barnet: The Bees are enjoying an impressive end to the season, and are unbeaten in four matches. Martin Allen’s men have only lost once in seven games and are safety lodged in 15th place. Barnet are eight points above Hartlepool United, and four below 14th place Leyton Orient. The Bees have the third best home form in League Two, and are 14th in the form chart (last eight games).

Yeovil Town: It’s now five matches without a win for Yeovil Town – drawing three and losing two of their most recent fixtures. However the Glovers have performed well across the second half of the season, after struggling in the early stages of the campaign. The Somerset club have the tightest defence in the bottom half, only conceding 55 goals in 44 matches. They are the lowest scorers in League Two though – finding the net just 39 times all season. Yeovil currently lie in 20th place and are 18th in the form chart (last eight games). They have the fifth worst record on the road this season.
In The Dugout: Darren Way has enjoyed a successful start to his managerial career; pulling Yeovil clear of relegation since taking charge of the club in December. The midfielder made 259 appearances for the Glovers, winning the Conference, League Two and the FA Trophy. He moved onto the coaching staff in 2010, and won promotion to League One via the playoffs in 2013. Way was appointed caretaker manager following the departure of Paul Sturrock earlier this season, before taking over on a permanent basis after six matches.
Dangerman: Ryan Bird was a prolific goalscorer at non-league level early in his career; the forward netted 133 times in 340 games for Southern League side Burnham from 2009 to 2013. His form attracted the attention of Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham, who brought the 6ft 4in marksman to Fratton Park. Bird struggled to hold down a first team spot with Pompey, but did enjoy a successful loan spell at Cambridge United – his nine goals in 13 games were enough for the U’s to make the striker’s move permanent in 2014. Yeovil Town swooped to sign the Slough-born targetman last summer and he has repaid their faith in him this season – scoring eight league goals to date.
Last Meeting: Barnet took a two goal lead at Huish Park back in December, only to be stung by a late comeback from the Glovers. Aaron McLean scored an outstanding free kick in the 18th minute, before doubling the Bees advantage on the stroke of half time. But Yeovil hit back in the second half – Francois Zoko scored in the 80th and 86th minute to rescue a point for the home side. You can read the report from that match here.
