Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce that Sam Togwell has signed a new deal with the Bees.
The defensive midfielder has penned a one year contract extension, which will see him remain at The Hive for next season.
Togwell lifted the Conference trophy in his first season at the club, having signed from Chesterfield in 2014.
The 31-year-old has made 83 appearances in a black and amber shirt, scoring his first goal against Leyton Orient last month.
Discussing his new contract, Sam said:
“I’ve enjoyed my two years here so far, so I’m happy that this new deal has been sorted so quickly.
“Barnet are a good club – I think I’ve played well and that I’ve helped the youngsters that are coming through at the moment.
“I believe that the team can do well next season, after we finished the last campaign strongly.
“I think that showed us that we can kick on and push up the league, if we start better than last year.
“Overall I feel that I was quite consistent last season.
“I started the season well and finished it off well too.
“If I can just improve that middle section next year and keep my end-of-season form up, I believe that I’ll have a good 2016-17!”
