Manager: Darren Way, 37, was appointed as interim manager of the Glovers in December 2015. After six games at the helm he was handed the reins on a full-time basis.

In his first season in charge Way helped Yeovil avoid relegation to finish 19th in EFL League Two, overcoming the handicap of a miserable start under Paul Sturrock which had seen the Glovers win just twice before the new year.

A central midfielder in his playing days, Way represented England at Under-16 level and later turned out for the National Game XI – the precursor to Paul Fairclough’s England ‘C’ side.

In three spells with Yeovil he made 259 appearances for the Glovers before he was forced to retire following a serious car crash in which he broke his femur and hip.

Way, who began his career with Norwich City, became first-team coach at Huish Park after calling it quits and was briefly assistant boss before getting the top job a year ago.

Dangerman: Winger-cum-attacking midfielder Otis Khan is Yeovil’s top scorer with five goals in 18 league starts since signing from Barnsley in the summer.

The 21-year-old spent seven months with the Tykes after signing in January but failed to make a league start after inking an 18-month contract and was allowed to move on at the end of last season.

Born in Ashton-under-Lyne, Khan began his career with Manchester United and spent a decade in the club’s youth system before switching to Sheffield United in 2012.

A handful of appearances for the Blades, while also taking in loan spells at Buxton, Matlock Town and Barrow, preceded a move to Barnsley but he featured just three times as a sub as the Reds won promotion to the Championship.

He scored on his debut for Yeovil in a 2-0 win over Notts County and has quickly established himself as a key player at Huish Park.

Connections: Recently-departed Bees defender Bondz N’Gala made 35 appearances for Yeovil in all competitions during the 2011/12 season. The centre-back left The Hive last month having made 111 appearances for Barnet.

Izale McLeod turned out for both clubs with varying degrees of success. He scored 32 times in 68 league starts as a Bee between 2010 and 2012 and moved to Huish Park in August but was released after just four outings. He recently joined Corby Town.

Nippy winger Iffy Allen joined Yeovil last summer after eight outings for Barnet but left Huish Park in February after two league starts and ten substitute outings. He is now at Aldershot Town under former Bees number two Gary Waddock.

Current MK Dons midfielder Ed Upson scored once in nine league appearances as a Bee before spending four years at Yeovil between 2010 and 2014, playing 129 times in the league.

Last Time Out: Yeovil advanced to the last 16 of the EFL Checkatrade Trophy with a resounding 4-1 win over League One side MK Dons on Tuesday night.

The Dons went in front when Yeovil defender Alex Lacey headed past his own keeper, Jonny Maddison, in the 24th minute.

Yeovil equalised four minutes after the restart, Kevin Dawson converting a penalty. Francois Zoko dispatched a second spot kick in the 62nd minute to put the Glovers ahead before Dons’ Samir Carruthers saw red for a second booking.

Lacey then atoned for his earlier error, looping home a cross from the right which somehow found its way to the penalty spot.

Ben Whitfield completed the rout 11 minutes from time, heading home Ryan Dickson’s cross.
