Barnet defender Joe Payne has been shortlisted for the League Football Education (LFE) Goal of the Month.
The left-back scored from the halfway line as Barnet drew 3-3 with Enfield Town in the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup at The Hive in November.
Payne’s strike has been viewed more than 220,00 times on the club’s YouTube channel, has enjoyed worldwide acclaim since with broadcasters from around the globe picking up on the goal.
There are also sublime goals from all the other contenders including, prolific Blackburn forward Dan Butterworth, MK Dons starlet Hugo Logan and Luton Town’s Jack Snelus. Jahvan Davidson (Derby), Owen Darwent (Chesterfield) and Reece Williams-Bowers (AFC Wimbledon), complete a strong shortlist.
