An early goal from Bright Enobakhare set Wolves on their way to victory, despite a late rally from a stubborn Barnet side.
Wolves opened the scoring as early as the third minute when striker Adam Le Fondre latched onto a Tom Champion back pass.
The Cardiff City loanee drew Jamie Stephens out of his goal, before passing across to Enobakhare who finished with ease.
Wolves doubled their lead just before the hour mark – the dynamic Sheyi Ojo curled an unstoppable right sided strike around Stephens in the Bees goal.
Barnet came back into the match, and Bira Dembele’s 76th minute goal ensured a nervy finish for the home side.
A short corner routine saw Elliot Johnson drive a low cross into the box from the left wing.
Aaron McLean’s flick-on found Dembele, who prodded the ball past Wolves keeper Emiliano Martinez.
Despite that late goal, the Bees struggled to create clear cut openings in the final minutes.
Their best chance fell to McLean, whose shot was saved well by Martinez.
Luke Gambin and Ben Tomlinson attempted strikes on goal in the closing stages, but neither could trouble the Wolves custodian.
The Bees return to league action on Saturday, when the face Cambridge United at The Hive.
