On Tuesday the Danish national side descended on The Hive ahead of their England friendly at Wembley Stadium.
The likes of Daniel Agger, Nicklas Bendtner and Simon Kjaer spent one hour training on the stadium pitch as Morten Olsen put the final touches to his pre-match preparations.
Despite the perfect preparation the Danes were beaten 1-0 by the Three Lions thanks to a second-half header from Daniel Sturridge but despite defeat they waxed lyrical about The Hive.
William Kvist
"We very much enjoyed our preparations at The Hive. In Denmark at the moment we don’t have pitches as good as this, it is very nice and I think the facilities are very good especially compared to Danish standards. ]
"This is only the fifth best division in England but the facilities are much higher than that. The sun was also shining so we loved that!
"It is really important, for players wanting to go into the gym and train longer. Having these facilities also important for the physiotherapists and he general development of the squad."
Lars Jacobsen
"The Hive is a really nice place and the it was a very good pitch to help us prepare for the game. The facilities at The Hive look great and I’m not just talking about the stadium. I’m sure the club are incredibly happy with what they have here.
"It is very important to clubs to have facilities like this. If you have the right pitches, the right gym and the right staff it will help you improve everyday so there are no excuses here.
"I can’t imagine the facilities at other non-league clubs are like this. I’ve played in England and I’ve been places where you would look at the pitch and it is not as good as the one here.
"It is a nice stadium and the crowd is very close to the pitch so I think Barnet have a very big advantage."
