Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership with Wing Kingz, a popular dining establishment that specialises in wings and offers a vibrant atmosphere for socialising while watching live sports.
After listening to valuable supporter feedback regarding the matchday experience at The Hive, senior representatives at the Club collectively came together to discuss what could be done to enhance the environment on a game day.
What used to be the Starbucks has now been transformed into an American-style diner, with booths galore and 14 screens to catch live action of all major sports events throughout the calendar year.
The walls have been spray-painted with a variety of famous sports stars, including Tennis ace Rafael Nadal, England hero Bobby Moore and many more, to help bring a vibrant and contemporary feel to the place and the venue is equipped to broadcast between four and six live sporting events simultaneously.
The far corner wall is dominated by a large Barnet FC crest, accompanied by a graffiti-style depiction of Edgar Davids and a display of the years in which the Bees secured championship titles, celebrating the club’s history and achievements.
Since opening their doors, Wing Kingz has become known for bringing together bold flavours, quality food and a great atmosphere. From their signature wings and freshly prepared burgers to live sport on the big screens, they’ve created a place where friends, families and football fans can come together and enjoy great food while making memories.
Wing Kingz will also be taking over the running of all bars and tea huts on a matchday, offering a variety of food and beverages and will be responsible for delivering our hospitality experience to guests.
Food and Drink
On the Menu at Wing Kingz will be a variety of chicken wings, burgers, rice bowls wraps and much more, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
There will also be a wide selection of draft beers, cocktails and milkshakes to choose from.
On the partnership with Wing Kingz and the reasoning behind it, Head of Football Operations, Kirk Rayment said:
“At the end of last season, we sat down and discussed how we can make the matchday experience better for people.
We’re wanting to give the Hive a community feel again and try and bring in the people from the local area.”
General Manager, Corey Boyd added:
“It’s going to bring a whole enhancement to the matchday experience and we believed that this was the best possible route to go down.
Football is more than just coming down to watch 90 minutes on the pitch. Supporters want to come down for more than that, enjoy time with friends and family beforehand, get down early and enjoy quality food and drink.”
Wing Kingz also said:
“It’s a collaboration that feels like the perfect match, bringing together a passion for football, community and unforgettable match-day experiences.
We can’t wait to welcome supporters and the local community to enjoy everything Wing Kingz has to offer. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited for what’s to come.”
