Barnet FC will travel to Hemel Hempstead Town to take part in the annual Spencer McCall Memorial Game as part of our pre-season schedule on Saturday 11th July for a 3pm kick-off.
Spencer was a Hemel Hempstead player who sadly passed away from a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma.
Spencer had previously played for both Dean Brennan and Kirk Rayment during their time at Hemel Hempstead.
The memorial game will raise money for Sarcoma UK, the charity that supported Spencer and his family throughout his treatment. More information on Sarcoma UK can be found HERE.
Barnet faced Hemel Hempstead last year at Vauxhall Road, the Bees went down 1-0 but Anthony Hartigan levelled the scoring from a terrific first half free kick before Rhys Browne put Dean Brennan’s side in front at the break.
Hemel equalised in the second which led to the game going to penalties where the Bees came out on top.
Tickets for this year’s fixture are now available and can be purchased HERE!
