The Bees are delighted to confirm that Idris Kanu has been selected to represent Sierra Leone in their upcoming FIFA Series friendlies in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Leone stars take on Oman and Azerbaijan in their international window between the 27th and 30th March, in which the Bees’ number 11 has been chosen to travel for.
Kanu has represented the Sierra Leone National Team on two previous occasions, in international friendlies against Comoros in November 2021 and South Africa in September 2022.
The 26-year-old was also named in the Africa Cup of Nations squad for the delayed 2021 competition.
As a result of the call-up, Idris will be unavailable for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Cambridge United at The Hive.
