BARNET PLAYERS SPREAD FESTIVE CHEER AT BARNET HOSPITAL

Members of the Barnet First Team and Academy Scholarship Programme paid a heartwarming visit to Barnet Hospital yesterday afternoon, bringing festive cheer to patients, families, and staff during the Christmas period.

First-team players Owen Evans, Denis Adeniran, and Britt Assombalonga were joined by academy scholars Noye Richards and Aaron Liwala as they visited the hospital’s children’s ward, known as the Galaxy Ward.

The group arrived full of positive energy and seasonal spirit, handing out gifts and sharing smiles with young patients and hospital staff alike.

The visit formed part of the club’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and community support, particularly during what can be a challenging time of year for many. By spending time on the ward, the players helped ensure that patients and families felt supported and not alone during the festive season.

The inclusion of academy scholars for the first time also highlighted the academy programme’s ambition to make a meaningful impact beyond football, reinforcing the club’s values both on and off the pitch.

Speaking on the importance of such visits, Foundation Manager Aleksander Czerniec said:

“The players and scholars were nothing but a class act in helping the local community during a difficult time of year. As a club, it’s important that we reflect on those who are alone or facing difficulties at this time of year and take action to make a real difference.”

The club would like to thank Barnet Hospital and the staff on the Galaxy Ward for their warm hospitality and look forward to working together more frequently in the near future.
