Our first team players and coaching staff attended a “Tackling Antisemitism in Sport” workshop at the Hive Stadium yesterday.
This is a Maccabi GB project, in partnership with the Office of HM Government’s Independent Advisor on Antisemitism.
Ben Sweiry, Tackling Antisemitism in Sport, Project Manager at Maccabi GB said,
“The opportunity to provide a first team training session for Barnet Football Club on Antisemitism in Football, was indicative of the inclusive atmosphere I experienced at the Club. The team were thoroughly engaged in the session and being in an area with a significant Jewish population, it was very meaningful to have them in our workshop.”
Lord Mann, HM Government’s Independent Advisor on Antisemitism said,
“Congratulations to Barnet Football Club on being the first club to host a Tackling Antisemitism in Football training workshop for its first team. This represents an important milestone and I commend Barnet FC for setting a strong example and demonstrating their commitment to ensuring that their Club is an inclusive place for all.”
Daniel Martin, Chief Communications Officer at Barnet FC said,
“I’d like to thank Maccabi GB for running such an insightful workshop. It was extremely eye-opening and covered a lot of important ground in a short amount of time.”
Barnet FC remain fully committed to being an inclusive Club where everyone who visits us feels safe and welcome.
