Cambridge United: The U’s have seen a significant upturn in results over the last month, following three back-to-back defeats in mid-November. Cambridge went on to win their next trio of matches – 4-2 against Morecambe, 3-1 versus Notts County, and 2-1 away at Plymouth Argyle. Those results, followed by a draw with play-off chasing Mansfield, helped push United up into the top half of the table going into the festive period.

In The Dugout:  Shaun Derry has been in the Cambridge dugout for just over a month, having taken over from Richard Money in mid-November. This is Derry’s second managerial position, having previously managed Notts County. The Nottingham-born coach saved his boyhood club from relegation to League Two in 2014, with six wins in their last nine games of the season. His second season at Meadow Lane was less successful however – County were just one place above the relegation zone when he left the club in Match 2015.

Dangermen:  Barry Corr reached double figures for the season in the game against Notts County last month. The Irish striker arrived at the Abbey Stadium with a burgeoning reputation, after his 14 goals last season helped fire Southend United to promotion via the play-offs. Corr scored a total of 63 goals for the Shrimpers over a five year period, having arrived from Exeter City in the summer of 2010.

Luke Berry has also been in good goal scoring form this season, after returning to Cambridge prior to the start of the campaign. The Cambridgeshire-born midfielder began his career with the U’s – coming through their youth system and making 145 appearances. His form earned him a move to Barnsley, where he played a further 37 times in one season before re-joining United for an undisclosed fee.

Last Meeting: Barnet played Cambridge United in the early stages of this season. The Bees and the U’s played out an entertaining 0-0 draw in front of 2406 supporters at The Hive. To read a match report from the game, click here.
