The Bees: Barnet go into this game on the back of a 2-0 away defeat to AFC Wimbledon. Despite the Bees’ struggles on the road this season, their home form has been good; they’ve won the last two home matches against Dagenham & Redbridge (3-1) and Stevenage (3-2). Barnet have also recorded impressive results against Northampton Town and Cambridge United earlier in the season. With only Wycombe Wanderers coming away from North London with three points, The Hive is proving to be something of a fortress so far this campaign.

Martin’s View: “I’m looking forward to Saturday afternoon and getting back out in front of our own fans. I think the last home game was one of the best atmospheres that we’ve had here at home. This place is starting to take shape in my opinion – it’s starting to feel like a home again.”

Accrington Stanley: Accrington have enjoyed a strong start to the season, going on an eight-match unbeaten run in August and September. That run came to an end last Saturday, when John Coleman’s men lost at home to Oxford United. The result leaves Accrington in a very respectable 7th place going into tomorrow’s match.

In The Dugout: John Coleman is currently enjoying his second spell as Accrington boss, following an initial 12 and a half year stint at the Crown Ground (1999-2012). The Liverpool-born manager won three promotions with Stanley, taking them from the Northern Premier League Division One to League Two. He briefly left for an ill-fated spell in charge of Rochdale, before returning to manage Accrington in September 2014.

Dangerman: Attacking midfielder Josh Windass is the son of Hull City legend Dean Windass, and is certainly replicating his father’s goal-scoring exploits this season. The former Harrogate Railway man has six goals in just eleven appearances this campaign, and the 21 year old looks set to have a bright future in the game.

Last Meeting: Barnet last played Accrington Stanley in March 2013. A Bees team that included Edgar Davids lost 3-2 at the Crown Ground. Lee Molyneux’s hat-trick sent Barnet back to London empty-handed, despite goals from Elliott Johnson and Ross Jenkins.
