‘Let’s Get More Kids and Adults Out and Active!’

Barnet FC and The Hive Community Trust were delighted to welcome The Football Conference Trust to The Hive on Saturday in appreciation of their kind donation of a grant to help towards the ‘Let’s Get More Kids and Adults Out and Active’ project.

Lord Faulkner and Susan O’Brien from the Football Conference Trust were joined by Keith Ferry from Harrow Council to take to the field, not only at half-time during our home game against Macclesfield Town, but also during our very own Saturday Soccer School where they presented a cheque for £45,000 in the company of all the children who take part.

The ‘Let’s Get More Kids and Adults Out and Active’ is a new project which will be running throughout the local area and will be supported fully by The Hive Community Trust in a number of different venues.

We hope that this project will help not only to increase local people’s participation in sport as a whole, but to allow all of those who participate to take advantage the benefits of an active lifestyle such as physical and social development, greater confidence and the enjoyment of a range of new hobbies.

This project would not have been possible without the support from The Football Conference Trust, and everybody at Barnet FC and The Hive Community Trust would like to thank them for their generous contribution and look forward to putting to good use in order to get more kids and adults out and active!
