First team squad members became ‘Bees in the Community’ this week by paying a visit to the training session of Affiliate Club, Elite FC at The Hive.
The players met with over 100 young players, coaches and parents and discussed their pathway to being a professional player, the values that are required to make it as a pro and shared some of the realities of playing for Barnet FC.
Nick and Joe gave the kids tips on their specific positions and joined in with some penalties and 1v1 defending drills.
Elite FC are part of the Affiliate Club Programme which is organised by The Hive Foundation.
Elite FC are one of our guest clubs at this weekends fixture against Rochdale and will be represented on the pitch by player escorts and flag bearers. All the members of Elite FC will have a free ticket for the game as part of this initiative.
Foundation manager, Dan Barton, said ‘The Affiliate Club Programme is our way of engaging with local grassroots football teams and developing a unique link by making our world class facilities at The Hive London more accessible for young players to develop and in turn inspire a new generation of footballers and Barnet FC and London Bees fans.”
