BEES BUOYED BY FORM BOOK

The Barnet squad will travel to Devon today ahead of their npower League 2 fixture against Exeter City buoyed by two consecutive victories, the most recent being an away victory at league leaders Gillingham.
The 1-0 win at Priestfield according to the BBC’s and Barnet Player’s commentator Barry Swain, “tore up the form book.”
Clovis Kamdjo is poised to travel and be available if Head Coach Edgar Davids’ response to a question about the Cameroonian midfielder’s availability is a guide. “Could be” was the guarded response from the much-capped Dutchman.
Davids refused to be drawn on player selection, declaring “We will see who’s fit” when asked about squad rotation during this busy run of matches.
The temptation will surely be to name an unchanged line-up from the team that defended so manfully against the Gills, but a fit Kamdjo would be an asset to many a League 2 midfield.
Prior to leaving for the South-West, Edgar Davids said, “We have a very difficult game ahead of us. Exeter are a good team and they need the result. A long trip away from home is always tough.”
The Bees were beaten more convincingly than the 2-1 scoreline would suggest at Underhill back in early October and on target for the Bees that evening was Jake Hyde whose strike from distance on Boxing Day was his 7th goal of the season.
Graham Stack said after the match that his 20 yard pile driver was Hyde’s first goal this season from outside of the six-yard box, never mind one from outside the penalty area!
Many would point to fit-again midfielder John Oster as the catalyst for Barnet’s back-to-back victories. The ex-Everton man noted that the result against Gillingham had been “a great bonus and a solid team effort.” He went on to say, “Another good result this weekend would be huge to take into the Aldershot game.”
If you are unable to take the long and winding road to Exeter tomorrow, Barnet Player will as always be offering full match commentary.
