Barnet FC players visited St. Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School as they paid a special visit to inspire their year 4 students.
Led by Barnet FC Foundation Manager, Dan Barton, goalkeeper Laurie Walker, and defender Danny Collinge engaged with the students, sharing insights into the life of a professional footballer and the importance of resilience both on and off the pitch.
The visit wasn’t just about showcasing their football prowess but also about imparting life lessons. Danny and Laurie patiently fielded a barrage of questions from the eager students, ranging from what it takes to become a footballer to the resilience needed to overcome challenges.
In the lively interactive session, the players shared personal anecdotes, highlighting the dedication, hard work, and perseverance required to pursue a career in football. They also emphasised the significance of resilience in facing setbacks and turning them into opportunities for growth.
The Foundation’s commitment to fostering positive change through various outreach programs and initiatives was spotlighted, earning admiration from the head teacher, David O’Farrell and the year 4 teachers.
