The Bees have had rich pickings in Kent against Gillingham in recent seasons and they will be hoping their good form in the Garden of England continues against the Darts.  Harry Crawford’s old club finished a very respectable 8th place last season in the Conference Premier and could be an outside bets for a play-off place this time round.  Under an hour from central London by train or a rather long drive around the M25 – but as away days go it’s not a bad journey at all!

Salisbury is more famous for its cathedral than its football but the Whites will be looking to put the quaint Wiltshire town on the map, to coin a phrase from Roy Hodgson, for footballing reasons.  Following a pulsating 3-2 victory against Dover Athletic in the Conference South Play Off final last season, Salisbury will be looking to cement their place in the Conference National this term.  It should be an interesting game for the boys in Black and Amber over the festive period. 

A ding dong New Year’s battle between the Bees and the Hatters will signal the start of 2014.  Keen international Bees can fly in from around the world for this one – Kenilworth Road is a 10 minute taxi ride from Luton Airport.  Luton impressed last season beating Championship side Wolves and Premier League side Norwich before defeat in the fifth round of the FA Cup.  Luton away is probably one of the most difficult games in the Conference Premier, and if the Bees could come away with 3 points from Bedfordshire on New Year’s Day it could go a long way to clinching a top 5 place come the end of the season.

The Bees will be hoping it’s party time in Lincoln with promotion or a play-off place already secured!  Another cathedral City (if only we were playing Wells City of the Western Football League Division One!), the climb up to Lincoln Castle and Cathedral are well worth the effort.  From personal experience I can thoroughly recommend a pre-match pit stop at Browns Pie Shop, Steep Hill (say what you see!) on the way back down.
