The Bees play host to Essex side Braintree Town at the Hive tomorrow afternoon looking to make it five wins on the spin at home this season.
Barnet FC:
In our last league fixture, it was the late show again that sealed the three points for the Bees over Cheshire side Altrincham FC. It was the visitors who took the lead in this one through former Barnet man Justin Amaluzor when he scored from inside the box. Some great play by the Bees allowed Harry Chapman to level the scores in the first half when he raced through on goal before slotting the ball home. An eventful yet goalless second half ended when substitute Rhys Browne popped up with a header in the 92nd minute to win the game for Barnet.

Braintree Town FC
These weekends visitors have enjoyed a positive start to life back in the top tier of non-league football. Currently sitting in 18th with four draws from their opening eight games, keeping three clean sheets in that time. In their last fixture that faced a narrow defeat at high flying York City. The Iron took the lead early on through Frankie Terry but the hosts flexed their talent for the rest of the half and turned the game on its head on the stroke of half time as Ricky Aguiar and Ashley Nathanial- George both scored for the Minstermen.
Braintree last five results:
York City 2-1 Braintree Town
Braintree Town 0-0 Woking
Hartlepool 0-0 Braintree Town
Braintree Town 0-0 Ebbsfleet United
Solihull Moors 1-1 Braintree Town
In the opposite dugout:
Braintree are currently managed by young coach Angelo Harrop who has now managed over 100 games for the Iron since his appointment in 2022. Prior to joining the Essex side, he took on a year long role at Sudbury. Since his arrival at Braintree, he has guided his side to promotion via the play-offs in the National South after a 5th place finish, placing the Iron back into the National League after a five-year absence.
Ones to watch:
Forward John Akinde will be one to look out for tomorrow afternoon; despite not scoring yet in the league this season, the former Barnet man will be looking to end that drought in front of his former crowd.
Last time these two sides met:
The last time these two sides met was in January 2019 when the Iron ran riot over the Bees in Essex, claiming a 4-0 victory. An early red card from Mark Cousins made the task of winning an uphill battle and that became apparent when Callum Morton scored a hattrick for the hosts alongside an Iffy Allen goal late on. Braintree went on to be relegated that season with Barnet finishing in mid-table.
