The Tunisian international centre-back joins the Bees having most recently featured for Sky Bet League Two side, Grimsby Town. Mohsni has played for several different Football League clubs and becomes a welcome addition to Peter Beadle’s side following a recent injury to fellow defender, Matt Preston.
The 33-year-old also offers the Bees some versatility and can play in a number of different positions, which could turn this non-contract signing into a shrewd move by manager Peter Beadle.
The 6ft3, Paris born defender started his career in France, before making the move across to England where he played for Southend United, featuring 62 times and scoring on 18 occasions during a three-year spell with the Shrimpers.
In 2013 a move to Rangers followed where he played 44 times, scoring 11 times for the Glasgow based side. Mohsni’s record in front of goal is certainly exciting for a player who primarily features at centre-back, but can also play in the attacking area’s of the team. His height and versatility will certainly add something to Beadle’s team.
Mohsni’s deal is subject to the usual registration process with The National League. Bilel will wear the number 15 shirt and we would like to give him a warm welcome to The Hive London.
You can catch Bilel’s first interview as a Barnet man in the build-up to Saturday’s match with Wealdstone.
