The Wanderers made it to the third round of the FA Trophy after defeating fellow National League South side Hungerford Town 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

Dorking have had a decent start to the season, finding themselves only four points off top side St Albans in the league. That is despite only having one win in their last three league games. They had initially had a rapid start to the season winning their first three-games and have continued their fine form ever since.

There rise has been quite a remarkable one, having only been founded in 1999. They managed six promotions in their first eight seasons, with three consecutive ones from their first season. From playing in step 7 of the National League only 21 years ago, they are now in their 2nd season pf playing in step 2, as they look to break another record in their history to get promoted for the first time to the Vanarama National League.

THE BEES

Tim Flowers will kick-off his Bees campaign on Saturday after being announced as manager on Monday night, getting to work the very next day by leading training, as he looks to turn the Bees season around. Having managed a number of teams and as a player was even a Premier League winner, with the historic 1994-95 Blackburn Rovers winning team.

The Bees will be desperate to put their league form behind them, especially after a heavy 6-0 defeat away to Chesterfield last time out. With Flowers arrival, the Bees will hope that it can be the catalyst to a mid

Cup competition this season have been positive for the Bees. Despite being knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup by MK Dons, they put in a spirited display and came close to knocking out two League One sides, after defeating Burton Albion in the First Round. They will be hoping they can carry this kind of form into the FA Trophy, which last season was a competition they made the Quarter Finals before being beaten by Halesowen Town.

There has been some positive injury news this week ahead of Saturday’s match, with forward Josh Walker returning to training.
