The Bees welcome Barrow to The Hive London tomorrow afternoon as they aim to bounce back from Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat at home to Chesterfield.

Last Meeting:

It was a day to remember for Barnet the last time these two sides met. Manny Duku and Wes Fonguck found the net as the Bees won 2-0 at Holker Street earlier on in the season.

Manager: Ian Evatt

Ian Evatt took charge of Barrow in the summer following a short stint as caretaker boss at Chesterfield.

The former defender played over 250 times in two spells for The Spireites before occupying the managerial role at the back end of last season. He was also in charge of the side that lost 3-0 to the Bees in the final game of the campaign. Evatt was captain of the club and even picked up the Player of the Season award after the 2003-04 season. He also ended the final season of his first spell claiming the SIFA Player of the Season Award whilst just missing out on the CFSS Player of the Season Award.

After beginning his playing career at Derby County, Evatt went on to play for Northampton and QPR before signing for Blackpool where he was part of their Championship promotion side of 2010.

One to Watch: Jacob Blyth

Striker Jacob Blyth joined Barrow in the summer and has been in and out of the Bluebirds squad in his debut season at the club.

The 26-year-old has found goals hard to come by this campaign having only bagged two but he will be hoping to add to his tally tomorrow afternoon.

Blyth can also use his EFL experience to his advantage having played for the likes of Northampton, Burton Albion, Notts County, Cambridge and Blackpool.

Recent League Form:

Barrow, who sit 12th in the table, have only won once in their last five league games, settling for a draw in their other four fixtures.

The Bluebirds claimed two 0-0 draws at home to Halifax Town and away at Chesterfield respectively before the points were shared again when drawing 1-1 with Bromley in their next game. However, they returned to winning ways a week later when they beat Sutton United 1-0 but go into tomorrow’s game off the back of another 0-0 draw, this time at home to Ebbsfleet.

As for their away form, Barrow have won five of their 17 matches on the road this season. They have also scored 34 times, conceding 35.

Byron Harrison joined Barnet in the summer after leaving Barrow at the end of last season. The striker signed for the Bluebirds in 2016 following his release from Chesterfield and went on to make over 60 appearances, scoring 32 goals.
