Barnet will be hoping to clinch their second win on the bounce tomorrow afternoon after beating Harrogate Town 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Last Meeting:

The last time these two sides met was back in October, the Bees falling to a 3-1 defeat on that occasion. In what went on to be the first ever meeting between the two sides, Wes Fonguck netted the opener on 43 minutes. However, celebrations were short-lived when Rory Gaffney equalised on the stroke of half-time. Tom Walker then turned the game on its head in the early stages of the second period before Mark Shelton made sure of the three points soon after.

Manager: Graham Alexander

Graham Alexander took charge of Salford in May following their promotion to the National League last season.

The 47-year-old embarked on his first managerial spell at Preston North End, taking up a caretaker capacity in 2011 before Graham Westley took charge.

However, his first stint at a full-time managerial role came in 2012 at Fleetwood Town where he went on to guide the side to League Two play-off glory two years later before facing the sack in 2015.

Before joining Salford, Alexander spent two years at Scunthorpe. He guided the Iron to the 2017 League One play-off semi-final but bowed out at the hands of Millwall.

It was Scunthorpe where the Salford boss started his playing career. He went on to make 200 appearances for the club before signing for Luton. In 1999, Alexander joined Preston where he later became club captain and was part of the 2005 PFA Championship Team of the Season. He spent eight years at Deepdale before moving to Burnley where he gained promotion to the Premier League, becoming the oldest player to make their debut in the top flight. He also became the Clarets’ Player of the Year at the end of the 2009-10 campaign. Before retiring, he returned to former club Preston.

During his impressive playing career, Alexander also represented Scotland at senior level, making 40 caps.

One to Watch: Matt Green

Matt Green began this season playing in League Two for Lincoln City before making a surprise switch to the Ammies at the end of 2018.

The striker has gone on to bag three goals in a Salford shirt, including two in his first three games. However, he has only netted once in his last 10 games, but he will be hoping to regain his goal scoring form of old tomorrow afternoon.

Green is a pacey forward who can cause the Barnet back-line all sorts of problems tomorrow. He also has bundles of experience under his belt too having spent most of his career in the EFL. You only have to cast your memories back to 2014 to record the last time he played in the Championship and since then has gone on to make a name for himself in League Two. He also has experience of playing in England’s fifth tier having picked up a scoring habit in this division with Oxford United, Torquay United and Mansfield Town.

Recent League Form:

Salford, who sit fourth, have won and kept a clean sheet in their last four league games and will be hoping to extend that run tomorrow.

Despite a 2-0 defeat at home to Eastleigh at the end of February, they bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Ebbsfleet. They then beat Sutton and Solihull Moors 2-0 respectively before clinching a 1-0 win over Aldershot Town in their most recent fixture on Tuesday night.

The Ammies have bagged 64 goals this season, conceding 38 and have won 12 of their 19 games at Moor Lane.

Last 5 league games: LWWWW

Connections:

Salford goalkeeper Max Crocombe had a short spell on loan at Barnet in 2015 before being recalled a month later. He made five appearances for the club.
