Barnet: The Bees are now unbeaten in four matches (two wins and two draws) and have kept clean sheets in all four games. Saturday’s victory over Dagenham lifts Barnet up to fifth in the form chart, with 14 points from their last eight fixtures. Martin Allen’s side have only lost two games during that period, and last weekend’s display saw the Bees add goals to the defensive solidity that we’ve seen in recent weeks. Barnet have the third best home form in the division, so will be optimistic of securing a result at The Hive on Saturday.

AFC Wimbledon: The Dons are on a good run of form at the moment, having won five of their last six matches. A 3-2 loss away at Yeovil Town at the end of January is the only real blemish on Wimbledon’s copy book since the turn of the year – they are unbeaten in eight of their last ten matches, and currently sit just outside the play-offs with a number of games in hand. The Wombles are second in the League Two form table, and are the seventh best side on the road this season.

In The Dugout:  Neal Ardley was something of a Wimbledon legend as a player, having made 301 appearances for the Crazy Gang between 1991 and 2002 – most of them in the Premier League. The midfielder then played 128 times for Watford, before finishing his career with individual seasons at Cardiff City and Millwall. Ardley moved into coaching upon his retirement and spent five years running Cardiff City’s academy. He was appointed manager of AFC Wimbledon in 2012, and helped them avoid relegation to the Conference during his first season in charge. The Epsom-born coach kept them up again the following year, and finished 15th in the 2014-15 season.

Dangermen:  Lyle Taylor is the Dons’ top scorer with 12 goals in League Two so far this season. The striker began his career at Millwall, but left the club after finding first team opportunities limited at The Den. He dropped down into non-league football and enjoyed a prolific spell with Concord Rangers; netting 34 times in 42 matches. This form attracted the attention of Bournemouth, who signed Taylor in 2010. The 25-year-old played 34 times for the Cherries, but struggled to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI. He moved on to Falkirk in 2012 and rediscovered his scoring touch with the Scottish club. 29 goals in a single season earnt the 6ft 2in targetman a move to Sheffield United, but Taylor against struggled to hit the net on a regular basis while south of the border. A brief stint with Scunthorpe United and two successful loan spells with Partick Thistle followed, before the striker arrived in South London last summer. The Montserrat international is enjoying life at Kingsmeadow, and is currently joint third in the division’s goal scoring charts.

Barnet fans will also remember Wimbledon captain  Barry Fuller, who played a total of 56 games for the Bees during two spells at the club.  George Francomb also played for Barnet 15 times whilst on loan from Norwich City in 2010-11.

Last Meeting: Barnet succumbed to a 2-0 defeat against AFC Wimbledon when they made the short trip to Kingsmeadow back in October. The Bees were stung by an early Lyle Taylor goal after just seven minutes, before Sean Rigg made sure of the points with a late strike deep into stoppage time.
