Keanu Marsh-Brown is gunning for revenge ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Preston North End. 

The winger was knocked out of the FA Cup by the Lilywhites last year suffering a 3-0 defeat with former club Yeovil Town.

Marsh-Brown also featured for the Glovers at Deepdale in a 3-2 league defeat last season and he is looking to make amends with the Bees.

“I played against them twice last season with Yeovil and both were tough games, we didn’t get the results we wanted but now I’m at Barnet and I hope we achieve something special.

“We have a strong team and we’re going there in a positive frame of mind. We are going there to win.”

The Bees’ top goalscorer did however admit that it will be a tough match for the Bees against a side who currently sit fourth in Sky Bet League One.

“They’re playing very well and they’re in a strong position in League One but we know we can play against any team in any league and give it our all.

“If we go into the game all guns blazing we can catch them out, we’re not your typical non-league team and we have the players to surprise them.”

The Bees will be without both Jake Hyde and Dani Lopez but Marsh-Brown feels Harry Crawford is more that good enough to fill the void and put Preston to the sword.

“It is going to be a huge miss to have Jake and Dani missing because they are the two main strikers in the team.

“Harry came in last week and played really well, he held the ball up and created a number of opportunities. If he gets a run of games he will keep getting better and the goals will come.”

Despite his obvious individual talent, the 21-year-old continued by explaining how it will take a team effort rather than an individual to secure place in the second round draw.

“As a team we need to work just as hard without the ball as we do with it. We also won’t get many chances so when we do we have to make sure we take them.

“We can create opportunities but it is about being clinical. No matter how long it takes we will stay positive and when that chance comes along hopefully we can put it away.”

Marsh-Brown also explained the importance of the Barnet fans and, he hopes they will travel in full-force to Deepdale.

“It would be great to see the Bees travelling in numbers because it’s a massive game and it’s a special occasion for everyone involved with the club.

“When you’re on the ball and you hear your fans backing you it helps a lot so hopefully they will make themselves heard on Saturday.”

Tuesday also saw Marsh-Brown selected for England C for a second time and the winger is hopeful of having an even bigger impact this time around.

“It’s an honour to be called up to the England C squad and it will be great to play at home because my family can come along and support me.

“We’re playing the Czech Republic under-21s so it will be an incredibly tough match but hopefully I can play well and get on the scoresheet this time around.”
