• Grimsby Town are currently managed by Paul Hurst.

• Hurst made 438 league appearances for Rotherham United between 1993 and 2008. He spent the entire duration of his career with Rotherham bar a brief loan spell with Burton Albion in 2008.

• During his time with Rotherham he won the FA Trophy and was promoted twice, both as a runner-up, from Division Three and Division Two. 

• Following his retirement Hurst became joint-manager of Ilkeston Town with former team mate Rob Scott.  

• The duo moved to Boston United after one year with Ilkeston spending two-years at York Street before moving to Grimsby Town. Scott left the club in 2013 with Hurst taking sole control of the team.

Grimsby Town kept sealed a 2-0 win over relegation rivals Barnet to preserve their 100-year Football League history for at least one-week. Town took the lead midway through the first-half when captain Rob Atkinson hooked a volley beyond Cole before Mark Hudson drove in the decisive goal in the third minute of injury time. Victory for Grimsby over Burton Albion coupled with a Barnet loss to already promoted Rochdale would see them escape the drop to complete a remarkable escape.
