Martin: “It was a magic moment”

Good morning,

First and foremost, a big thank you to all of the players and staff that put in such a fantastic performance at the weekend in what was a challenging, testing, tough game and at times in very difficult circumstances. They kept calm, they kept controlled and they done the job.

For the supporters that made the trip at this time of year, when it is costly and expensive for all families, all of us really appreciate the positive energy, enthusiasm and backing that you gave to all of our players. It was without a shadow of a doubt a very special moment at the end of the game, the way that the players and supporters embraced each other. It was a magic moment.

Now, I have a few tricky and testing dilemmas to work out for this weekend’s game in the FA Trophy away at Concord Rangers. We have a few first team players who are out injured and cannot play. We have some first team players who at the moment are not in the team and do need to play because we will be using them during the Christmas period. We have a Youth Team that is now seven points clear at the top of the table after Saturday’s 2-1 win away at MK Dons and I want to see them play.

It is important that we put out a good team and today I am training and working a team to play tomorrow against Dagenham in preparation for next Saturday’s game, so we are not taking it lightly. For all our paying public, it is important to know the tricky situation that I am in.

Tomorrow’s game is 1pm at The Hive versus Dagenham and all supporters are welcome to come and watch.

“We are on our way,”

Martin
