Summer signing, Hall-Johnson started his career at Norwich City Academy. The right-back was part of the FA Youth Cup winning team in 2013 that beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He would make his professional debut against Crawley Town in the League Cup. After a few non-league moves, Hall-Johnson would join Grimsby Town in League Two. He would make 40 EFL appearances for the Mariners before leaving for Northampton. After one season with Northampton, Hall-Johnson joined Wrexham in the National League. During his three years in Wales he would win the National League and finish runner-up in the FA Trophy.
