Rossi Eames will be taking an “energetic side” which will feature a number of young first team players as well as a couple of trialists.
Braintree will be preparing for life in the National League South this campaign following relegation last season.
They picked up 48 points, scoring 51 but conceding 76. Their season was notable for an FA Cup run which saw them knocked out in the Second Round away to Millwall.
Simeon Akinola will be returning to face his former side after joining Barnet from Braintree over the Christmas period and he has spoken of his disappointment for the Essex side.
“It’s a great shame they got relegated but nevertheless I’m sure they’ll bounce back” he said. “They’ll be back in the National League Premier in no time, and I look forward to seeing some old faces when we go there.”
