Following the news that broke earlier today regarding Barnet forward Jake Hyde head-coach Martin Allen provided the following update.
“After long chats and discussions with Jake Hyde, and what I believe the offer of a fantastic deal for next season from the Chairman, Jake has decided that he wants to try his luck at York City.
“Jake has a proven track record of scoring goals in the Conference and in League Two and he is a player I wanted to keep but I wish him well for the future as he is a great lad.
Allen continued: “The clubs have not yet agreed a compensation payment and if they fail to do so it will be decided at a tribunal.”
